Paro FC continued our perfect season of the 2025 BoB Bhutan Premier League season with a dramatic 2–1 victory over rivals Thimphu City FC, in front of a record-breaking crowd at Woochu Sports Arena. The atmosphere was electric, with passionate fans filling the stands and driving the team to another memorable win.
Team News & Line-Up

Timothy, Evans Asante, Kareem, and Suzuki started in the first eleven, making an immediate impact up front. Similarly, Walid Said made his debut for Paro FC, adding fresh energy to the squad, and Tshelthrim Namgyal was replaced by Phurba Wangchuk in the starting eleven for the first time this season. Additionally, Kezang Dorji returned to the starting lineup after recovering from injury, bolstering our defenders.
First Half: Stalemate Despite Intensity

Both teams began strongly, matching each other in intensity and creating chances. The first half saw equal pressure from both sides, but neither could find the breakthrough, and we went into halftime with the score locked at 0–0.
Second Half: Goals, Drama, and Decisive Moments

The deadlock was finally broken in the 47th minute when Timothy, with his very first touch of the half, converted a brilliant cross from Evans Assante to put Paro FC ahead. However, Thimphu City responded with determination and managed to equalize with a well-taken header, setting up a tense and thrilling finish. The match reached new heights of intensity, with both sets of supporters making their voices heard and pushing the teams forward.
The Decisive Moment
Evans Assante produced a moment of magic in the 81st minute, dribbling past two defenders and the goalkeeper before finishing with style to restore our lead. His solo effort sent the home fans into raptures and proved to be the match-winner.
Man of the Match
Timothy was named Man of the Match for the second consecutive game, rewarding his relentless work rate and crucial opening goal.
A Night to Remember
This match will be remembered as one of the most exciting fixtures of the season so far, not only for the quality on the pitch but also for the incredible support from the stands. The attendance set a new record at Woochu Sports Arena, and the entire Paro FC squad extended heartfelt thanks to every supporter who cheered us on.
