Paro FC vs BFF Academy U-19 – A Hard-Fought Victory at Woochu Sports Arenas
What an electrifying afternoon it was at Woochu Sports Arenas as Paro FC faced off against the talented BFF Academy U-19 squad on June 21st, 2024. With both teams fielding strong lineups, the home crowd was treated to a thrilling contest that kept everyone on the edge of their seats from kickoff to the final whistle.

Paro FC wasted no time asserting our intent, as Mohammed Ba found the net just five minutes into the match, expertly assisted by Evens Asante.
The lead was short-lived, however, as BFF Academy U-19 quickly equalized, showing their resilience and hunger.
Not to be outdone, our own Nima Wangdi restored the advantage with a powerful header, only for BFF to once again draw level before the break. The first half ended 2-2, setting up a nail-biting second half for both sets of supporters.

The intensity only grew after halftime, with both teams pushing for the win and creating chances at both ends. With just ten minutes left on the clock, Mohammed Ba stepped up once more, scoring his second goal of the match to put Paro FC ahead. Our defense held strong in the closing stages, ensuring we secured all three points in front of our passionate home fans.

Alessandro Riggi’s outstanding performance throughout the match earned him the well-deserved Man of the Match award, showcasing the depth and quality within our squad.
The new team captain, Gyeltshen Zangpo (NONO), led the team in place of Tomoyuiki, who is currently sidelined due to injuries. NONO’s leadership on and off the pitch inspired the entire squad, and every player gave their all to honor his commitment. In a heartfelt gesture, the whole team dedicated both the match and the victory to our captain, recognizing his resilience and unwavering spirit.
