Paro FC Weekly Round-Up — September 1, 2025

Men’s Team
After the hiccup away at Tensung, the Tigers bounced back in style. On August 28, Paro swept aside Tsirang with a commanding 6–2 victory at Woochu.
Then came today’s headline. On September 1, Paro FC delivered a record-breaking performance, defeating Southern City 20–1 at home. From the opening whistle, it was wave after wave of attack, with both our international stars and Bhutanese players sharing the goals. This wasn’t just three points — it was a statement that Paro intends to dominate the league.
Women’s Team
The women’s side is matching the same energy. Two weeks ago, they claimed a 6–0 away win over Gelephu Girls Academy. Last week, in front of the Woochu crowd, they showed grit and quality with a 4–2 victory against Ugyen Academy Women. Back-to-back wins underline their growing confidence and winning mentality.
Continental Stage: AFC Challenge League
Paro FC has been drawn into Group A of the AFC Challenge League, facing:
• Altyn Asyr (Turkmenistan)
• Al Shabab Club (Oman)
• Abdysh-Ata Kant (Kyrgyzstan)
Even better, Bhutan will host the group matches from October 25 to October 31. It’s the second straight year Paro have made the group stage, after captain Evans Asante’s stoppage-time winner against Abu Muslim Farah in the Preliminary Stage.
Behind the Scenes
President Karma Jigme, the board, technical staff, medical team, and operations crew continue to push tirelessly, ensuring Paro FC’s rise is supported on and off the pitch.
