A Golden Season for Paro Football Academy
A Golden Season for Paro Football Academy
The BFF Youth League 2026 is done, and it's been one to remember. A champion's trophy, two hard-fought finals, and a semi-final run that shows just how deep our talent pool really is.

Champions: U-15 Boys
Our U-15 boys are champions. The final finished 1-1 after ninety minutes and had to be settled on penalties — about as tense as football gets.
When that last spot-kick hit the net, it wasn't just a scoreline that changed. It was years of early mornings, setbacks, and showing up anyway, finally paying off.
Two individual honours made the day even sweeter:
- Sonam Rinchen was named Most Valuable Player of the U-15 Boys category.
- Yonten Tharchen scored 27 goals in the U-17 Boys competition to win the Golden Boot.

First Runners-Up: U-15 Girls & U-17 Girls
Both our girls' teams made it all the way to the final, and both came up just short. The U-17 Girls lost 1-0 to Transport United, and the U-15 Girls fell to Thimphu City.
It's a tough way for a season to end, but getting to a final is never luck. It takes a full season of discipline and belief to get there.

Semi-Finalists: U-17 Boys
Our U-17 boys reached the semi-finals before bowing out, in a tournament eventually won by Ugyen Academy after a 2-2 thriller against Thimphu City in the final.
A semi-final finish isn't just a footnote. It's proof that our depth runs across every age group, not only the ones lifting trophies.

Building Something Bigger Than One Trophy
Put it all together and the story is simple: Paro Football Academy isn't producing one great team by accident. We're building a system.
Behind every result this season was a young player who showed up, trained hard, and gave everything for the badge on their chest. That's what made this season special — not just the medals, but the character and pride our players carried all the way to Changlimithang and back.
Thank you to our players for their heart, our coaches for their guidance, our parents for their unwavering support, and our fans who believed in these young stars from day one.
This season belongs to all of Paro.
