A Partnership with Purpose. A Partnership for Bhutan.
June 23, 2026 | Woochu Sports Arena, Paro

Today marks the beginning of a partnership built not only on football, but on a shared commitment to Bhutan and its people.
Paro Football Club is proud to announce the signing of a landmark partnership with Bhutan Lottery Limited, officially signed at Woochu Sports Arena by Mr. Sonam Phuntsho, Chief Operating Officer of Bhutan Lottery Limited, in the presence of Mr. Saran Gurung, Deputy General Manager – IT Department, and Ms. Leki Wangmo, Deputy General Manager – Marketing. Representing Paro FC were Mr. Karma Jigme, President of Paro FC, together with members of the club’s management team. The signing marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration dedicated to strengthening Bhutanese football while supporting meaningful national development initiatives.
More Than a Commercial Partnership
Football clubs across the world thrive when they build strong, sustainable partnerships. This collaboration is a significant step towards strengthening the financial foundation of Paro FC while supporting a meaningful national cause.

As part of the agreement, Paro FC will also operate Bhutan Lottery sales counters at Woochu Sports Arena and through selected retail outlets managed by the club’s sister companies. The additional revenue generated will directly support football development, youth programmes, community initiatives, and the club’s long-term sustainability.
Every Ticket Tells a Bigger Story
Lottery is often misunderstood. Yet when operated responsibly, transparently, and within a regulated framework, it can become a powerful force for good.
Bhutan Lottery Limited has long been a cornerstone of Bhutan’s social fabric. Behind every ticket sold and every number drawn lies a quiet but powerful story— the story of revenue being channelled directly into the De-Suung Skilling Programme.
This visionary initiative equips Bhutanese youth with practical skills, discipline, confidence, and opportunities for meaningful livelihoods. Every ticket purchased is therefore more than an opportunity to win—it is also a contribution towards building stronger communities and creating brighter futures for young Bhutanese.
This is why we believe lottery is not necessarily bad. Its true value lies in how the proceeds are used. When managed responsibly, it becomes an investment in people, opportunity, and nation-building.
Football and Nation-Building
Paro FC believes football has the power to unite communities, inspire dreams, and transform lives.
Bhutan Lottery Limited shares that same philosophy by supporting initiatives that create lasting social impact. Together, we are building a partnership where sport and social responsibility go hand in hand.
Whether you’re cheering from the stands, supporting the club, or purchasing a lottery ticket, you are becoming part of something much bigger than a football match. You are helping strengthen Bhutanese football while contributing to programmes that empower our youth and support our nation’s future.
Paro FC expresses its sincere appreciation to the Board and the entire Bhutan Lottery Limited team for their trust and partnership. We look forward to a successful journey together—one that creates value both on and off the pitch
